OGS Oratory of the Good Shepherd (1913)

May is the month traditionally set apart in honour of Our Lady Mary. To mark this, St Mary's Bourne Street have produced a 'May Devotion' which features the beautiful, but rarely heard, hymn 'Though the Street of Heaven' written by Fr Wilfred Knox, OGS, the first of our brothers to die in profession.

'Mater creatoris,
Domus aurea,
Mater salvatoris,
Caeli janua:
Meet it is thy praises
Every tongue should sound
Mary over all things
To all ages crowned.'
